Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tiberio Celentano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Ferdinand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Celentano comes to the cage accompanied by The Godfather Theme Song. Bob Ferdinand told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bob Ferdinand!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Jorge Garcia and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Celentano connects with a jab.
Celentano throws a right and a left that Ferdinand avoids nicely.
Celentano throws a right hand that Ferdinand ducks under and follows up with a left that Ferdinand also avoids with ease.
Celentano throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Celentano throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ferdinand.
Celentano will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ferdinand checks a leg kick.
A combination from Celentano does no damage.
Celentano misses with a combination
and Ferdinand counters with a shoot takedown. Celentano fights it but they end up in guard.
Celentano is breathing heavily.
Ferdinand passes Celentano's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ferdinand is taking a breather. Celentano says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Celentano is trying to stand back up but Ferdinand is controlling him
Ferdinand takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ferdinand is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Celentano defends it well.
Ferdinand looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Ferdinand keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
It looks like Ferdinand might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Ferdinand is working for a kimura but Celentano is defending it quite comfortably.
Ferdinand has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ferdinand sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Ferdinand swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Celentano is now in Ferdinand's guard. A big mistake from Ferdinand there, giving up the dominant position!
Ferdinand escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Celentano gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ferdinand has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Celentano can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Celentano tries to stand but Ferdinand is controlling from the bottom.
Ferdinand pushes a forearm under Celentano's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Celentano is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Bob Ferdinand!
