Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jupiter Alexandre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cris Coolguy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexandre comes to the cage accompanied by Don Omar ft Tego Calderon - Bandoleros . The key to victory for Jupiter Alexandre has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexandre lands a body shot.
Alexandre stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Alexandre throws a shot to the body.
Alexandre lands a nice looking kick to the body. Coolguy takes a step back to recover.
Coolguy misses with a low kick.

Alexandre stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Alexandre wants it to stay on the feet.

Coolguy has control of Alexandre's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Alexandre regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Alexandre is pressed up against the cage. Coolguy has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Alexandre down to the mat. Alexandre avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Coolguy has hold of one of Alexandre's legs. Alexandre is fighting the takedown attempt but Coolguy gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Alexandre throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Alexandre postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Coolguy is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Alexandre, into his guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jupiter Alexandre.
