The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Richard Clark and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haye tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rua was well out of range. Poor timing from Haye.
Haye digs a good body shot into Rua's ribs.
Haye throws the left hand but Rua avoids the punch easily.
Haye throws a right hand that Rua ducks under and follows up with a left that Rua also avoids with ease.
A right-left combo lands from Haye.
Haye connects with a right hand. Rua shakes it off.
Haye throws a jab when Rua was well out of range.
David Haye seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rua connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Haye throws a left and a right that both miss
and Rua counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Haye is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rua doesn't manage to clinch there - Haye circles away.

Rua throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Rua throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Haye.
It looks like David Haye has been cut.

Haye will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Haye ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rua moves away.
Rua slips a straight right by Haye.

Rua throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Rua moves out of range of the strikes.

and Rua counters with a head kick that drops Haye to the mat! Haye scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Haye is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Haye misses with a double jab.
Oh Haye is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Look low, kick high! Rua uses the oldest trick in the book to send Haye tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Rua is absolutely delighted - when Haye wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
