The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pavlyuchenko is defended easily by Lindel.

Pavlyuchenko tries to sprawl but Lindel drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Lindel lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Lindel is keen to just control but Pavlyuchenko is a slippery customer.

Lindel is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Pavlyuchenko sees it coming and defends easily.

Lindel seems to be looking for submissions.
Pavlyuchenko is looking to escape.
Pavlyuchenko has hold of Lindel's hands but Lindel slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Lindel lands with a punch from half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pavlyuchenko wants to get back to his feet.
Pavlyuchenko is staying active underneath Lindel, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Lindel thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Lindel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pavlyuchenko swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lindel scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Pavlyuchenko to see if he's OK.
Pavlyuchenko wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Lindel connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Pavlyuchenko some visible discomfort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pavlyuchenko takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pavlyuchenko pushes Lindel away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Lindel gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Lindel wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pavlyuchenko, who protects the arm well.
Lindel is looking to take a break and control but Pavlyuchenko is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pavlyuchenko wants to control but Lindel postures up.

Pavlyuchenko pushes Lindel away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Lindel gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Lindel has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Lindel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pavlyuchenko keeps working.
Oh Pavlyuchenko is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lindel is chipping away with strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Lindel lands a big elbow - Pavlyuchenko is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Lindel!
