The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyr gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Mastain has managed to clinch.
Tyr is trying to drag Mastain to the mat but Mastain just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Tyr has Mastain pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mastain manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Mastain lands a right hand that snaps the head of Tyr backwards.
Tyr changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mastain fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Dave Mastain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of McKraken Tyr.
Tyr closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mastain circles away.

Mastain lands a big uppercut and Tyr crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Tyr looks OK. Mastain waves Tyr back to his feet!

Tyr is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mastain dances in with a quick combination. Tyr is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Mastain snaps Tyr's head back. Tyr stumbles backwards against the cage. Mastain steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Tyr's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Tyr just didn't come prepared.
