Vera throws a right hand that McLovin ducks under and follows up with a left that McLovin also avoids with ease.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Vera lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and McLovin has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from McLovin and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Vera fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and McLovin has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

McLovin seems to be looking for submissions.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with McLovin in particular looking to stall.

McLovin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Vera is just riding it out for now. McLovin eventually gives up the hold.

McLovin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Vera defends it well.

Daniel Vera is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Vera with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling McLovin to score with a decent uppercut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McLovin has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

McLovin remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

McLovin has an Americana. Vera didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! McLovin is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if McLovin hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
