Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sol Goode (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rusimar Palhares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Goode's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, .. Palhares has chosen Hoporider as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palhares misses with a hook. Goode ducked under it nicely.
Goode walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Goode.
Palhares dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Goode shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Palhares slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Palhares stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Palhares wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sol Goode. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Palhares instigates a clinch.
Palhares has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Goode tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Palhares smiles and moves away.
Goode tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Palhares manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Palhares lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Goode gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Palhares circles away from the clinch attempt
and Palhares counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Goode takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Goode closes this distance looking for a takedown but Palhares circles away.

Palhares lands a nice looking body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Palhares throws an overhand right that lands on Goode's shoulder, as Goode tries to avoid the shot.
Palhares is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Goode had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Goode tries to score a power double leg takedown but Palhares sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Goode somewhat.
Goode is breathing heavily.
Palhares swats away the attempt to clinch by Goode.

Rusimar Palhares is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

A jab from Palhares finds it's way through Goode's defenses.
Goode with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Palhares to score with a decent uppercut.
Goode has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Palhares finds it's way round the side to connect with Goode's head.

Goode tries to clinch but Palhares moves out of range.

Palhares cracks Goode with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Palhares throws a good cross that connects.
Palhares connects with a looping right hand.
Goode is looking to clinch.
Palhares throws a one two combo.

Goode is rocked!
Goode shoots for a double leg takedown but Palhares sprawls well. He's pushed Goode's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Oh Goode is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Palhares stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Goode wants to clinch up but Palhares keeps it at a distance.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Goode. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Goode will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Palhares lands a big uppercut and Goode crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Goode looks OK. Palhares waves Goode back to his feet!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Goode fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Palhares slaps away a takedown attempt from Goode, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Palhares throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Goode stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Goode seems to have got his legs back now.

Palhares lands a nice shot that snaps Goode's head back.
Palhares with a body punch. A glancing blow.

Palhares drops Goode with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Goode looks back up at him and smiles so Palhares waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Palhares digs a good hook to Goode's body.
Palhares cracks a nice hook into Goode's ribs.
Palhares throws a good cross that connects.
Palhares steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Goode is out on his feet! Palhares sets himself and nearly takes Goode's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
