Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gino Sosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Matsuda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Emerson Jorge and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sosa throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Sosa fails to land the takedown.
Will Matsuda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Matsuda wants to clinch up but Sosa keeps it at a distance.
A slow jab from Matsuda misses its intended target.
The fighters circle momentarily. Matsuda darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Matsuda is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Sosa has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Matsuda can do anything to dispel that myth.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Matsuda is in a horrible position here. Sosa smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Sosa wants to control the pace but Matsuda is squirming around nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Matsuda throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sosa's waist but Sosa gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Matsuda off to one side.

Sosa tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Matsuda manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Matsuda shoots for a double leg takedown but Sosa sprawls well. He's pushed Matsuda's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sosa leaves Matsuda with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Sosa tries to score a power double leg takedown but Matsuda sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sosa somewhat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Will Matsuda showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
