PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between The Tinker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Scheisse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tinker comes to the cage accompanied by Stranglehold. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, The Tinker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Scheisse!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scheisse lands the left hand.
A low kick from Scheisse is predictable there

and Tinker counters with a takedown into side control.
Tinker landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Scheisse tries to bench press Tinker off him but Tinker keeps the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Scheisse takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Tinker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Scheisse keeps working.
Scheisse tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tinker wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Scheisse is trying to control Tinker's posture but Tinker avoids it.

Tinker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Scheisse keeps working.

Tinker wants to control for a moment but Scheisse uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Scheisse tries to roll over but Tinker keeps him under control.
Tinker looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Scheisse is looking to control Tinker's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Scheisse avoid being mounted?

Tinker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tinker thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Scheisse's head.

Scheisse is trying to maintain the position but Tinker is very close to passing his half guard.
Scheisse is looking for a sweep. Tinker is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Tinker pivots, looking for a leg kick but Scheisse is out of range and Tinker settles back down.
Tinker looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Tinker throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Tinker avoids a kick to the body.
Tinker moves out of range of the body kick.
Scheisse misses with a looping left.
Tinker connects with a leg kick. Scheisse looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Tinker.

Scheisse looks to score with a jab to the body but Tinker is just out of range.
Scheisse throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Scheisse fails in his attempt to clinch.

Michael Scheisse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice leg kick lands there from Scheisse.

Tinker ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Scheisse motions for Tinker to come forward. Scheisse throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Scheisse tries to clinch but Tinker is having none of it.

Scheisse takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Scheisse tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tinker paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Tinker is pushing Scheisse up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Michael Scheisse showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Tinker on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Scheisse moves in looking to clinch but Tinker pushes him off.

and Scheisse takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
No joy there for Scheisse, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Scheisse is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Tinker rather than just go for the knockout.

Tinker blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Scheisse is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Tinker is defending well for now.

Tinker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Scheisse swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Scheisse is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

I would just about give that final round to Michael Scheisse.
I think Scheisse has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
