The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Longez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Summers moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Summers dives in and grabs Longez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Longez pushes down on Summers's head and hops out.
A looping hook to the body misses from Summers. Longez does a little dance to reset his feet.
Pizzazz Longez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Longez throws out a loose jab but Summers uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Summers counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Longez!

Longez is wriggling around trying to escape.
Summers has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
