Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Leonard Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodriguez has chosen Outlandish - Guantanamo as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Gonzalez delivers a nice body kick.
Rodriguez shoots in but no luck this time.
No luck for Rodriguez with that takedown attempt.
Rodriguez fails with a takedown attempt.
Leonard Gonzalez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Rodriguez.
Rodriguez throws a head kick but Gonzalez moves out of range.

Rodriguez closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Rodriguez feints and as Gonzalez raises his hands in defense, Rodriguez changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Gonzalez wants to stand and escape but Rodriguez is having none of it.

Rodriguez has gone for a leg lock! Gonzalez slips out almost immediately though and dives into Rodriguez's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rodriguez is looking for a triangle here but Gonzalez uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Rodriguez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Gonzalez counters with a two punch combo.
Rodriguez looks gassed!

A jab from Gonzalez misses.
Gonzalez jabs Rodriguez to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Gonzalez lands a left and a right that send Rodriguez crashing to the mat, dazed. Gonzalez thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Rodriguez is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Gonzalez engages and cracks Rodriguez with a massive lead left hook - Rodriguez tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Gonzalez is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
