Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nelfer Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nick Diaz had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 172.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diaz closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Diaz lands in his opponent's guard.
Rogers wants to stand and escape but Diaz is having none of it.

Diaz has his opponent's back but Rogers is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Diaz.

Nelfer Rogers showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Diaz looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Rogers has picked Diaz up and slammed him! Diaz can't keep hold of the triangle and Rogers manages to pass to side control!
Rogers content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Rogers has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
