The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters misses with a lunging right hand
and Reyes counters with a nice body shot.
Peters slips a straight right by Reyes.
Reyes pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Reyes connects with a looping right hand.
Peters swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Peters rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Reyes moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Reyes swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Reyes looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Peters is fending him off so far but Reyes persists. Nope, Peters circles away and we're back to standing.
Reyes just misses with a punch to the body.
Reyes misses with a straight left.
Reyes misses with the combination.
Peters swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A decent looking cross lands there for Peters.

Reyes slips a jab from Peters.

Reyes closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Peters quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Reyes looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Peters with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Reyes takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Reyes wants to control but Peters is keeping him busy.
Reyes not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Reyes throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Peters really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reyes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
