Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between bash jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). bash jones has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, bash jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruce Lee!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
jones shoots for a double leg takedown but Lee sprawls well. He's pushed jones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
jones misses with a two punch combination.
jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Lee lands a nice shot to the body.
jones throws a series of punches but Lee moves out of range.
jones tries to clinch there but Lee circles away.
bash jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
jones lands a head kick. Lee smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
jones avoids the head kick by Lee.
jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lee's waist but Lee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing jones off to one side.

Lee is rocked!

Lee swats away the attempt to clinch by jones.
jones tries to clinch but Lee moves out of range.
jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lee as he avoids it easily.
Lee seems to have recovered his senses.

Lee misses with an attempted mid kick.
Lee is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
jones is looking to clinch but Lee is avoiding it.
jones shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Lee is taking a breather. jones says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Lee slows the pace down in half guard.
jones is looking to escape.
jones is looking for a sweep. Lee is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Lee prevents jones from improving his position.
jones is refusing to be controlled, as Lee sits in half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
jones scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Lee manages to mount him!
jones really wants to buck Lee off and get back to his feet.
Lee lands with some strikes.
jones holds on to Lee as tight as he can, avoiding damage.
jones wants to hold on but Lee pushes him away.
jones is desperately trying to improve his position but Lee has a good base and remains in mount.
jones slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Bruce Lee will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

jones bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
jones wants to control but Lee is keeping him busy.
The referee asks jones politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. jones prefers to stall for the moment though.
Lee regains half guard.
jones is tying to control. Lee wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Lee is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute jones jumps into side control!
Lee is breathing heavily.
jones content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
jones is looking to take a break and control but Lee is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee stands the fighters back up. bash jones just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

jones has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lee is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

jones wants the takedown. Lee is fighting it off but jones persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Lee's guard against the cage.
Lee is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
jones wanted to stand there but Lee had control of the position.

Lee slows down the pace here.
jones is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
jones tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
jones lands a shoulder strike.

Lee fakes high and swings low for a body shot but jones manages to avoid it.
jones throws a left and a right that both miss
and Lee counters with a big head kick but jones shrugs it off.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from jones.
jones bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
jones fails with an attempt to clinch.

jones shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lee's guard.
jones wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving.

jones stands and steps away. Lee gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Lee moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Lee closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
jones is looking to get back to his feet here but Lee is keeping cool and he's managed to take jones's back.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to bash jones.
