Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vasgen Umarov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alistair Overeem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Overeem is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Barbarian Horde By Hans Zimmer. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overeem shoots in for a double leg but Umarov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Umarov drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Overeem dives on top into guard.

Umarov throws and elbow that misses. Overeem uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Umarov's guard. Nice move by Overeem!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Overeem has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Umarov is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Overeem.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Umarov here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
