Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hettie Kate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ned Alonso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kate might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Peanuts Theme. Hettie Kate has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kate takes the fight into the clinch.
Kate with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

It looks like Ned Alonso has been cut.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Kate.
Alonso drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kate gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Kate is pressed up against the cage. Alonso has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kate down to the mat. Kate avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Kate clinches with his opponent.
Kate lands an elbow inside that Alonso shrugs off.
Kate gets underhooks to prevent Alonso's takedown attempt.
Hettie Kate has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ned Alonso.
Alonso has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kate avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Alonso tries for a takedown but Kate manages to get underhooks.
Alonso is trying to drag Kate to the mat but Kate just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Alonso drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kate gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Kate connects with a nasty looking knee right to Alonso's face.

Kate lands an elbow just above Alonso 's eye.

That has opened up Ned Alonso's cut even more.

Kate drops Alonso with a big knee straight up the middle! Alonso is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

Alonso is still on wobbly legs! Can Kate finish him?
Kate jerks Alonso's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Alonso drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Kate goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Kate because Alonso was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
