Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Jordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Phoenix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brad Phoenix!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jordan gets caught flat footed, as Phoenix shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Phoenix trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Phoenix prevents Jordan from getting back to his feet.
Phoenix pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jordan is keeping the position for now.
Jordan looking for a sweep. Not yet Jordan, not yet.
Phoenix wants to control from the top but Jordan keeps moving.
Phoenix stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jordan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Phoenix takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Phoenix swats away the attempt to clinch by Jordan.
Jordan works over Phoenix's head and body with a nice combination.
Jordan throws a front kick aimed at Phoenix's knee but Phoenix avoids it well.

Phoenix scores a takedown into full mount!

Phoenix is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Jake Jordan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jordan scores with a leg kick.
Phoenix looks gassed!

Jordan has closed the distance and engaged Phoenix in a clinch.

Jordan manages to break the clinch.
Jordan smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Phoenix is still on wobbly legs! Can Jordan finish him?
Jordan is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Phoenix flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Phoenix is out cold! Jordan holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
