The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gapuz gets caught flat footed, as Kong shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kong trying to control but Gapuz is working from the bottom.
Kong passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Kong wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gapuz keeps working.
Gapuz on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gapuz tries to get out of the position.
Kong tries to move to mount but Gapuz blocks the move with his legs.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Kong has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Gapuz is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Kong yanks on the arm and Gapuz is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Kong.
