The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Badass.
Thon shoots in but no luck this time.
Thon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Badass tries to avoid it but Thon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Badass to the ground. Badass escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Badass dips to his left and cracks Thon with an uppercut!
Dickie Thon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Badass lands a nice shot that snaps Thon's head back.
Thon will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dickie Thon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Badass connects with a body shot that sends Thon's belly button to the back.
Badass is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Badass scores with the left hand. Thon knows he should have avoided that one.
Thon throws a jab when Badass was well out of range.
Badass cracks Thon with an open hand slap.
Thon closes this distance looking for a takedown but Badass circles away.
Nice takedown defense from Badass. No joy for Thon on that attempt.

Thon misses with an uppercut
and Thon takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Thon on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Badass leaves Thon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Thon closes the distance and clinches up with Badass, looking for a takedown. Thon pushes Badass against the cage but Badass circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Thon is breathing heavily.
A left and a right from Badass both land. Nice combination.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Thon is defended easily by Badass.
Badass has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Thon swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Badass lands a nice looking body shot.

Thon closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Badass to the mat! Badass manages to get full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Badass looking for a triangle here. Thon is fighting it but it looks tight! Badass pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Thon is tapping out - this one is all over!
