Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shogun Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ales Zhandunka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Kashmir. Ales Zhandunka has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Shogun Silva's chin.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ales Zhandunka!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zhandunka waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Silva.
Silva punishes Zhandunka's body with a nice straight punch.
Some wild striking there from Zhandunka.
Zhandunka moves away from the strike by Silva.
Zhandunka lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Zhandunka ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Silva moves away.
Zhandunka uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Silva.

Silva takes a swing at Zhandunka's ribcage but misses.
Silva on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Zhandunka fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silva manages to avoid it.

Silva throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Zhandunka misses with a wild combination.
Zhandunka is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Zhandunka steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Silva.
Zhandunka misses with a hook. Silva ducked under it nicely.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Zhandunka crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Silva - the referee stops the clock and Zhandunka gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Silva. Zhandunka manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Zhandunka looks gassed!
Silva connects with a jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Silva counters with a nice leg kick.
Silva dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Zhandunka. That did some damage!
Silva lands a glancing blow to the side of Zhandunka's head.
Donk. Silva catches Zhandunka right on the button with a cross.
Silva throws a hook to the side of Zhandunka's head but Zhandunka sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Silva.

Silva swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Zhandunka.
A thudding body kick lands there by Silva!
Zhandunka thows a body shot but no joy.
Silva cracks Zhandunka with an open hand slap.
Zhandunka has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Zhandunka there as he acknowledges the shot.
Silva throws a shot from downtown. Zhandunka moves away and avoids it.
Zhandunka gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Silva fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
A slapping body kick lands there for Silva.
Zhandunka takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Zhandunka takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Ales Zhandunka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Good exchange - Silva coming out on top.
Zhandunka tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Silva manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Zhandunka lands a nice shot to the body.

and Silva counters with a straight right hand.

Silva moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Silva fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Zhandunka looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Zhandunka stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Silva.

Zhandunka swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Silva counters with an inside leg kick.
Silva misses with a hook. Zhandunka ducked under it nicely.
Both fighters circling a little - Silva finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Silva connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Silva is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Silva looks to throw the jab but Zhandunka is out of range.
Zhandunka takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Silva.
Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Silva throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Silva scores with a shot to the body.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Silva missing with a left hand there. Zhandunka was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A slapping leg kick lands for Silva.
Silva tests Zhandunka's chin there with a solid looking shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shogun Silva dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Silva lands a really nice looking cross but Zhandunka seems unphased.

Zhandunka has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Silva.

Zhandunka's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Good leg kick by Silva there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The crowd cheers as Silva lands an impressive looking overhand right. Zhandunka doesn't seem phased though.
Zhandunka walks forward, straight into a front kick from Silva.
Zhandunka misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Silva connects with a good right hand that stumbles Zhandunka. Zhandunka circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Zhandunka is rocked!

Silva dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Zhandunka. That did some damage!
Zhandunka seems to have recovered his senses.
Silva drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Zhandunka right on the button. Zhandunka goes down! Silva follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Silva gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shogun Silva!
