Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ned Alonso!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eiji Kisaragi!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kisaragi looks to score with a jab to the body but Alonso is just out of range.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Kisaragi.
Kisaragi goes for a high kick. It partially lands.


It looks like Ned Alonso has been cut.

Alonso shoots in and bounces Kisaragi off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Kisaragi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Alonso doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Alonso manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kisaragi has his foot on Alonso's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Alonso works his way back into a safe position though.

Alonso looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Alonso connects with a nice short shot to Kisaragi's temple.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A big strike lands for Alonso! That's really hurt Kisaragi and he's turned his back - Alonso keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Alonso jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
