The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes cracks a nice hook into Pain's ribs.
Pain misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Barnes connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Pain's hands.
Barnes misses with a jab, cross combination.
Pain tries to bum rush Barnes with a series of wild strikes but Barnes uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Pain will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pain throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Barnes lands a nice shot to the body.
Barnes blocks a head kick by Pain.
Pain looks gassed!

Barnes gets a clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Barnes comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

It looks like Max Pain has been cut.
Barnes lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Barnes lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

That has opened up Max Pain's cut even more.
Barnes keeps control of Pain as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Barnes lands a hook that snaps the head of Pain backwards.
Barnes digs a right hand into Pain's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Pain's gas tank.
Barnes lands an elbow that stopped Pain in his tracks for a moment.

The cut above Max Pain's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Barnes pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Pain takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Max Pain's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Barnes lands with a shot to the body.

Pain drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
