Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Riley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charlie Tribbett!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley shoots for a takedown but Tribbett saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Tribbett stuffs the takedown attempt from Riley. Riley gets slowly back to his feet.
Riley misses with a takedown attempt - Tribbett sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Riley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Riley shoots in but Tribbett avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Riley shoots in and gets a takedown into Tribbett's guard.

Tribbett is looking for a triangle but Riley pushes his legs off easily.
Tribbett is trying to control the position but Riley postures up.
Riley lands a couple of elbows.
Riley distracts Tribbett with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Riley postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Riley is working Tribbett over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Tribbett not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Riley is in close to Tribbett's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Riley keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Tribbett's head.
Tribbett is trying to keep Riley in close.
Tribbett avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Tribbett can't keep his opponent in guard - Riley advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tribbett tries to roll over but Riley keeps him under control.
Riley drops an elbow to the side of Tribbett's head.
Riley thows a huge punch but Tribbett dodges it nicely.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Riley takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Riley working over Tribbett with some ground and pound. Tribbett looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Riley seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Tribbett on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Riley thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tribbett's head.
Tribbett trying to control but Riley postures up.
Riley has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Riley lands with a punch from half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tribbett looks gassed!
Riley looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Riley winds up and cracks Tribbett with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Nice strikes from Riley there.
Riley working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Riley is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Riley lands a big elbow - Tribbett is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Riley!
