Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Davola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barnes is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Black Eyed Peas - Imma Be. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes throws a leg kick but Davola sees it coming and moves out of range.
A jab from Barnes does it's job there.
Davola scores with a sloppy right hand. Barnes should have avoided that one.

It looks like Nate Barnes has been cut.

Barnes stalks Davola and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Davola's face. Davola staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Joe Davola has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Barnes takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Davola lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Good standup being displayed there by Davola as he connects with a hook.
Davola takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

and Davola counters with a body kick.
Barnes takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Barnes crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Davola - the referee stops the clock and Barnes gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Davola. Barnes manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Davola cracks Barnes with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Barnes throws a series of punches but Davola moves out of range.
Davola lands a nice looking body shot.
Davola jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Barnes chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Davola can pounce on him.
Davola's corner calls for a 1-2. Davola obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Davola throws a sloppy head kick and Barnes moves out of range easily.

Barnes steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Davola.
Barnes takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Davola throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Davola fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Barnes looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Barnes takes a kick to the side of the head.

That has opened up Nate Barnes's cut even more.
Barnes throws a right hand that Davola ducks under and follows up with a left that Davola also avoids with ease.

and Davola counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Barnes throws a quick inside leg kick.

Davola goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Barnes is rocked!
Davola misses with a head kick.
Barnes is still on wobbly legs! Can Davola finish him?
and Davola counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Barnes! He's just covering up as Davola starts to tee off till referee steps in and stops the fight!
