Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doe comes to the cage accompanied by How could I just kill a man. Santiago is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rick Ross - Superhigh. Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!Ricardo Santiago acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ricardo Santiago!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Doe finds it's target.
Santiago throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Santiago lands a leg kick that knocks Doe off balance momentarily.
Santiago scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Santiago checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Doe fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Santiago manages to avoid it.
Doe moves out of range of the body kick.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Santiago thuds his right hand into Doe's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Doe wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Doe throws a right hand that Santiago ducks under and follows up with a left that Santiago also avoids with ease.
Santiago throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Santiago bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Doe's head.

Doe fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Santiago, pushing him back against the cage.
Santiago digs a right hand into Doe's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Doe's gas tank.

Santiago pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Doe pivots, looking for a leg kick but Santiago is out of range and Doe settles back down.
Santiago avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Doe misses with a double jab.
Santiago thumps Doe with a low kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Doe takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Doe's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Santiago connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Doe scrambles back to his feet.
Doe takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Santiago lands with a cross.
Santiago looks to score with a jab to the body but Doe is just out of range.
Doe throws a nice looking combination but Santiago bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Santiago gets a clinch.
A short body shot lands from Santiago as the two fighters clinch.
Santiago lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Doe.
Santiago tries to work over Doe's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Doe tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Doe throws a punch but it's blocked by Santiago.
Doe tries to stall but Santiago uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Maybe Doe would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much.

A frustrated look appears on Doe's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Doe wants to break the clinch but can't.
Doe stalling in the clinch but Santiago improves position.
Santiago lands a body punch in the clinch.
Doe tries to throw a body punch but Santiago avoids it by throwing Doe back against the cage.

Santiago throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Does head.

Santiago breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Doe takes a shot right to the bread basket.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Doe loads up on a big right hand but Santiago slips the punch.
That kick from Santiago tenderised Doe's leg. Doe is trying to keep his angry face on.
Santiago lands a lovely overhand right.

Doe tries to keep at a distance but Santiago has taken the fight into the clinch.
Santiago lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Santiago.
Santiago has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

John Doe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Santiago throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Doe takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Santiago has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Santiago cracks Doe with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Doe walks into a left hand.
Santiago connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Doe's hands.
John Doe is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Santiago checks a leg kick.
Santiago pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Santiago lands with a good body shot.
Doe takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.


Doe is rocked!
Santiago throws a quick head kick that knocks Doe silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Santiago is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Ricardo Santiago!
