Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Laldama Sailo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan Couture looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sailo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Couture paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Couture stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Couture wants it to stay on the feet.
No luck for Couture with that takedown attempt.

Nice takedown defense from Sailo. No joy for Couture on that attempt.

and Sailo counters with a straight right hand.

Sailo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sailo lands in his opponent's guard.

Sailo wants to take a breather but Couture is having none of it.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Laldama Sailo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Couture is trying to stick to Sailo's back but Sailo is turning into Couture. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Couture's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Sailo.
