The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gable scores with a nice strike.
Cahill lands with an overhand left.
Cahill takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Gable lands a front kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cahill misses with a straight right.
Gable connects with an inside leg kick.
Cahill avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Cahill throws a hook but Gable blocks it.

Gable shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Gable was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Cahill is in all sorts of trouble here.

Gable looking for a guillotine from mount but Cahill is having none of it.
The referee warns Cahill that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

It looks like Matt Cahill has been cut.

Gable connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Matt Cahill's cut is getting worse.
Cahill is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Gable thowing shots but they're missing.
Cahill is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Cahill regains half guard.

Gable lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Jeez, Matt Cahill's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
