Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Derson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gonzalez.
Gonzalez fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Gonzalez throws a jab when Derson was well out of range.
Danga de danga de dang - Gonzalez scores with a four punch combination!
Gonzalez misses with a hook
and Derson counters with an outside leg kick.
Derson takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Gonzalez chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Derson can pounce on him.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Gonzalez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Derson was covering up waiting for the punch and Gonzalez finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Gonzalez slips nicely into half guard.

Gonzalez thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Gonzalez seems to be working for a kimura but Derson defends the submission attempt.
Gonzalez works his way into full mount!
Derson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gonzalez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
BOOM! Gonzalez connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Gonzalez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Derson is looking to escape.
Gonzalez lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Derson hang on?

Derson is rocked!
Gonzalez loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Derson scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Gonzalez land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Gonzalez stands and salutes the crowd.
