The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Strongfist fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kawajiri, pushing him back against the cage.
Kawajiri keeps control of Strongfist as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Strongfist wants to break the clinch but can't.
Strongfist lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Kawajiri or not.
Strongfist stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Strongfist pushes Kawajiri back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kawajiri pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Strongfist manages to break the clinch.

and Strongfist counters with a right hand to the body.

Kawajiri tries to keep at a distance but Strongfist has taken the fight into the clinch.
Strongfist is trying to break the clinch but Kawajiri has him pressed against the cage.

Kawajiri throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Strongfist blocks it with crossed arms.

Strongfist pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Oooooh!!! Strongfist has knocked Kawajiri down with a huge combo! Strongfist steps away and waves a wobbly Kawajiri back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Tatsuya Kawajiri has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Strongfist clinches.
Strongfist gets through Kawajiri's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Kawajiri is rocked!
Strongfist looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Strongfist lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Kawajiri is still on wobbly legs! Can Strongfist finish him?
Kawajiri misses with a knee to the head.
Kawajiri seems to have recovered his senses.

Strongfist manages to break the clinch.
Kawajiri tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Strongfist counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Kawajiri off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Strongfist follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Kawajiri was out before he hit the floor.
