Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mr Eko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grymzyk Hryamzyk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mr Eko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Grymzyk Hryamzyk!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Igor Prikhodko and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eko closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hryamzyk circles away.
Eko uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hryamzyk.
Hryamzyk slaps away a takedown attempt from Eko, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Eko shoots for a double leg takedown but Hryamzyk sprawls well. He's pushed Eko's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mr Eko. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hryamzyk tries to bum rush Eko with a series of wild strikes but Eko uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Eko fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hryamzyk avoids it really well and circles away.

Hryamzyk scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Hryamzyk misses with a wild combination.
Hryamzyk stalks Eko and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Eko's face. Eko staggers backwards, shaken.
Eko looks for a takedown but Hryamzyk sprawls well.
Eko throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hryamzyk's waist but Hryamzyk gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Eko off to one side.

Hryamzyk lands with a good body shot.
Eko tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hryamzyk sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Eko somewhat.
Nice takedown defense from Hryamzyk. No joy for Eko on that attempt.
Eko shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hryamzyk as he jumps to the side.
Eko fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Eko is breathing heavily.
Hryamzyk misses with a two punch combination.
Hryamzyk throws a nice looking combination but Eko bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hryamzyk throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Eko changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hryamzyk tries to avoid it but Eko manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hryamzyk to the ground. Hryamzyk escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hryamzyk fails to land with a series of punches.

Horrible takedown by Eko or perhaps it was just good defense by Hryamzyk which made him look bad.

and Eko decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hryamzyk's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Eko drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hryamzyk manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Eko has Hryamzyk in his guard.

Hryamzyk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Eko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Eko bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hryamzyk's guard.

Eko is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Eko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hryamzyk swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Eko postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hryamzyk is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Eko, into his guard.

Eko looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Hryamzyk is defending well. Eko quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Hryamzyk has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Eko celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Mr Eko!
