The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machado throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Thompson on the side of the head.
Thompson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Machado cracks Thompson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Machado jabs at Thompson's body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Good standup being displayed there by Machado as he connects with a hook.
Thompson swings away with a body shot that misses
enabling Machado to counter with a crisp jab.

Thompson is rocked!
Armando Machado seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thompson gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Machado points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Thompson wakes up just in time to hear Machado thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
