PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Psil Ander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Glasgow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Glasgow is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Sail by Armin van Buuren. Psil Ander is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Psil Ander!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tom Glasgow!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ander pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jab by Glasgow.
Ander throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Ander closes the distance and clinches.
Glasgow leaning his opponent against the cage.
Glasgow is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Ander is defending well for now.
Glasgow has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ander avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Ander with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Glasgow pushes Ander back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Glasgow blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Ander's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ander slips under a jab.
Ander walks into a jab.
A head kick misses from Ander.
Glasgow pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Glasgow throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ander sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Ander shoots in and gets a takedown into Glasgow's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Glasgow keeping full guard, as Ander tries to pass.

Glasgow has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ander can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ander slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
You can see the frustration on Glasgow's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Glasgow tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ander wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Glasgow manages to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ander stops Glasgow from getting back to his feet.

Ander is working for a kimura but Glasgow is defending it quite comfortably.
Ander is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Ander works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Ander wants to stand up but Glasgow has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Ander works his way into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Ander wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Glasgow, who protects the arm well.
Glasgow is not content to let Ander control the position.

Ander goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Glasgow rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Ander's guard! Nice work there by Glasgow!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Psil Ander dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Glasgow throws a series of punches but Ander avoids them all with ease.
Glasgow throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ander misses with a takedown attempt - Glasgow sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Glasgow throws a lazy head kick
and Ander finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Glasgow blocks a head kick by Ander.
Ander misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Glasgow swats away the attempt to clinch by Ander.
Ander misses with a low kick.
Ander throws a sloppy head kick and Glasgow moves out of range easily.
A jab from Glasgow misses.
Ander fails with the takedown

and Glasgow counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Psil Ander. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Glasgow trying to control but Ander is working from the bottom.
Glasgow is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Glasgow stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ander swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Glasgow is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Ander has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Glasgow is looking to defend but Ander has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Glasgow! Ander pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Glasgow taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Psil Ander!
