Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Den McNearsea!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Slabodan Milosevic!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Milosevic throws a right and a left that both miss.
Milosevic swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Milosevic throws a right and a left that McNearsea avoids nicely.
McNearsea tries a head kick but it misses.
McNearsea throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Milosevic's waist but Milosevic gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McNearsea off to one side.
McNearsea dodges the punch combination from Milosevic.
Milosevic connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Milosevic throws a series of punches but McNearsea avoids them all with ease.
McNearsea fails with a takedown attempt.
Milosevic throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Milosevic scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Milosevic throws a right and a left that both miss.

Milosevic throws a right hand that McNearsea ducks under and follows up with a left that McNearsea also avoids with ease.

Milosevic dodges the punch combination from McNearsea.
Milosevic misses with a two punch combination.
Milosevic throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck McNearsea on the side of the head.
McNearsea throws a jab when Milosevic was well out of range.
Milosevic throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
A left and a right from Milosevic both land. Nice combination.
Slabodan Milosevic is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Milosevic throws a right hand that McNearsea ducks under and follows up with a left that McNearsea also avoids with ease.
McNearsea on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Milosevic misses with a two punch combination.

McNearsea looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

McNearsea is looking for a kimura but Milosevic is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for McNearsea to get the leverage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Slabodan Milosevic dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


McNearsea is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Milosevic.
Den McNearsea is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

McNearsea shoots in and gets a takedown into Milosevic's guard.
Milosevic can't keep his opponent in guard - McNearsea advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Milosevic tries to kick McNearsea off but McNearsea keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McNearsea slips a nice elbow through Milosevic's hands, connecting with Milosevic's forehead.

McNearsea is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
McNearsea is figuring out what he wants to do next.

McNearsea works his foot free and advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McNearsea sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
McNearsea's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

McNearsea is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Milosevic is forced to tap! Great finish!
