Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Floyd Mayweather (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayweather throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mayweather scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Mayweather throws a body kick that misses.
A combination from Mayweather does no damage.
Shields takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Mayweather jabs Shields to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Shields on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Mayweather works Shields's body with a nice hook.

Mayweather misses with a jab, cross combination.
Mayweather stuffs the takedown attempt from Shields. Shields gets slowly back to his feet.
Mayweather connects with a right hand. Shields shakes it off.

Shields doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Shields fails in his attempt to clinch.
Mayweather tries to work over Shields's front leg with a kick but Shields checks it.

Shields shoots for a takedown but Mayweather saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Mayweather connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Mayweather throws a right and a left that Shields avoids nicely.
Mayweather misses with a series of wild punches.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Shields.
Shields moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Shields creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Shields lands some shots froms side control.
Shields is looking to take a break and control but Mayweather is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Shields lands a decent elbow from side control.

Shields has an Americana. Mayweather didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Shields is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Shields hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
