Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bernard Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Wahl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bernard Mir looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir is looking to clinch.
Mir looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Wahl drives through and clinches with Mir against the cage.

Wahl manages to break the clinch.
Wahl pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mir stuffs the takedown attempt from Wahl. Wahl gets slowly back to his feet.
Wahl tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Mir counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Wahl looking for a sweep. Not yet Wahl, not yet.
Wahl is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Wahl is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Wahl has his foot on Mir's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mir works his way back into a safe position though.
Mir has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Wahl preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Wahl has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mir can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Wahl manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Mir takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Mir is in all sorts of trouble here.

Wahl cracks Mir with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Wahl jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Mir is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Mir and Wahl has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Wahl is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Mir is trying to escape and Wahl transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Mir is forced to tap! Nice work there by Wahl! Very nice indeed!
