Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oscar Navarro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Oscar Navarro enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Oscar Navarro!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson misses the shot to the body.
Anderson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Navarro at a distance.
Navarro uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Anderson.

Anderson drops Navarro with a right and a left! Anderson comes rushing in but Navarro regains his composure and manages to keep Anderson in guard.


It looks like Oscar Navarro has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Anderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Navarro swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Navarro has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Anderson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Anderson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Anderson wants to get up but he can't break Navarro's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Navarro is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dave Anderson wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Anderson throws a series of punches but Navarro avoids them all with ease.
Nice defenses there by Navarro.

Navarro clinches up with Anderson and pushes him back against the cage.
Navarro is working for takedown but Anderson is calmly controlling the position for now.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Anderson.
Navarro lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Anderson or not.
Navarro is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Anderson pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Navarro swings wildly with an uppercut but Anderson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Navarro drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Dave Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oscar Navarro.
Anderson can't break the clinch.
Navarro lands a left hand that snaps the head of Anderson backwards.

Navarro is working for takedown but Anderson is calmly controlling the position for now.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
A nice right hand lands inside from Navarro.


It looks like Dave Anderson has been cut.
Anderson wants to get back to striking at distance but Navarro won't allow it.
Anderson working hard to break the clinch.
Navarro throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Andersons head.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Navarro.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Navarro has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Anderson is trying to keep an underhook but Navarro manages to get the takedown into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Navarro wants to take a breather but Anderson is having none of it.
Anderson regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Navarro.
Navarro with a flurry of punches that miss.
Navarro throws a big right hand that misses.
Navarro trying to control the position from guard on top but Anderson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Navarro lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Anderson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Navarro on the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Navarro with a nice head shot there.
Navarro won't allow Anderson to get back to his feet.
Anderson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Oscar Navarro dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Navarro looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A slow jab from Anderson misses its intended target.
Anderson walks into a stiff left hand from Navarro.

Navarro clinches with his opponent.
Navarro drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Navarro gets through Anderson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Navarro lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Anderson tries to break the clinch but Navarro is controlling the position.
Anderson is trying to force a seperation but Navarro has the dominant position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Navarro tries to work over Anderson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Navarro has Anderson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Anderson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Dave Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oscar Navarro.
Navarro tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Anderson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Navarro scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Navarro lands strikes from half guard.
Navarro has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Navarro throwing shots but Anderson is blocking nicely.
Navarro is taking a breather. Anderson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Navarro seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Navarro passes to full mount!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Anderson is in a horrible position here. Navarro smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Oh Anderson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Navarro lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Anderson! Navarro sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Anderson and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Oscar Navarro!
