Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dawgius Murray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kova Luu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murray moves to clinch but Luu breaks away
and Luu counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Dawgius Murray has been cut.
Luu fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Murray avoids it really well and circles away.

and Luu holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Luu tightens his grip and picks Murray up, before dumping him to the ground. Murray manages to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Murray uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Murray moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Kova Luu has been cut.

and Luu counters with a good low kick that Murray was not able to check.

Dawgius Murray seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Luu fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Murray, pushing him back against the cage.

Luu escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Luu darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Luu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Murray keeps working.

Luu stands up and beckons Murray to join him on the feet.
Murray misses with a double jab
and Luu connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Murray has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Luu forces Murray back against the cage and clinches.

Luu has hold of one of Murray's legs. Murray is fighting the takedown attempt but Luu gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Luu lands a couple of elbows.
Luu sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Murray's guard.

Jeez, Dawgius Murray's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
