PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sean Dignam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Turtle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Turtle has chosen Raul's Wild Kingdom as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Dignam!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tommy Turtle!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turtle ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Dignam throws a jab but it's blocked by Turtle.
Turtle comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Dignam misses with a wild body shot.
A combination from Dignam does no damage.
Dignam throws a right and a left that Turtle avoids nicely.
A punch lands to the side of Dignam 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Dignam throws a hook but Turtle avoids it easily.

Turtle shoots in and bounces Dignam off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Turtle distracts Dignam with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Dignam keeping moving, preventing Turtle from controlling successfully.

Dignam working for a triangle but Turtle defends it easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Turtle throwing strikes but missing.
Dignam can't keep his opponent in guard - Turtle advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Dignam gets back to full guard.
Dignam striking off his back.
Turtle scoring with punches to the head and body.
Dignam keeping moving, preventing Turtle from controlling successfully.
Turtle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dignam. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Turtle cracks Dignam with a solid left hand.
Turtle wants to stand but Dignam is controlling his posture from full guard.
Turtle postures up in Dignam's guard and throws a big left but Dignam blocks it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Turtle is pushing down on Dignam's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dignam is fighting to maintain full guard but Turtle has managed to sneak the leg through.
Dignam wants to get back to full guard.
Turtle drops an elbow to the side of Dignam's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Turtle is trying to control the action in half guard but Dignam is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Dignam wants to control but Turtle is keeping busy.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Turtle is taking a breather. Dignam says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Dignam moves into full guard.
Turtle trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Dignam has his foot on Turtle's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Turtle works his way back into a safe position though.
Dignam pulls Turtle in to control the position.

Dignam looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Turtle is defending well. Dignam quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Turtle has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Dignam celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
