Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andreas Reinhardt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohammad Lowal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lowal comes into a darkened arena with his song building. KING KING KING kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mohammad Lowal!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lowal comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Reinhardt throws a series of punches but Lowal moves out of range.
Reinhardt cracks Lowal with an open hand slap.
Lowal lands a glancing blow to the side of Reinhardt's head.
Reinhardt takes one to the side of the head.
Lowal throws a lazy right hand but Reinhardt sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Lowal tries for a takedown but Reinhardt sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lowal tries to sprawl but Reinhardt drives through with a takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Reinhardt thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lowal's head.
Lowal has hold of Reinhardt's hands but Reinhardt slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Lowal is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Reinhardt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Reinhardt goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Mohammad Lowal dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Reinhardt stuns Lowal with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Lowal slaps away a takedown attempt from Reinhardt, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Lowal blocks a jab.
Lowal shoots in and gets a takedown into Reinhardt's guard.
Lowal slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Lowal tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lowal has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
You can see the frustration on Reinhardt's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Lowal is looking to take a break and control but Reinhardt is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Lowal tries for a kimura but Reinhardt is defending well.

Lowal has hold of Reinhardt's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Reinhardt manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Lowal has control of Reinhardt's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Reinhardt regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Lowal swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Reinhardt is now in Lowal's guard. A big mistake from Lowal there, giving up the dominant position!
