Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Naja Shankara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blood Wizard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shankara comes to the cage accompanied by Pow!. The key to victory for Naja Shankara has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wizard uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shankara.
Shankara tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wizard was well out of range. Poor timing from Shankara.
Shankara lands a jab to Wizard's midsection.
Wizard keeps the fight on the outside.
Shankara throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wizard.
Shankara fails in his attempt to clinch.
A right-left combo lands from Shankara.
Wizard throws a poor cross that misses
and Shankara counters with a lovely shot to the body.
A slow jab from Shankara misses its intended target.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Shankara swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

and Wizard counters with a straight right hand.
Shankara misses with a wild combination.
No joy there for Shankara, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Shankara connects with a body shot that sends Wizard's belly button to the back.
Shankara lands a nice shot that snaps Wizard's head back.
Shankara is looking to wear down Wizard with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Wizard attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Shankara connects with the punch.
Wizard walks into a jab.

enabling Wizard to counter with a crisp jab.

Shankara clinches with his opponent.
Wizard takes a shot to the head.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Shankara.
Shankara misses with a body punch.
Wizard trying to stall but Shankara improves his position.

Shankara struggles to land a body shot inside as Wizard controls his hands.

Wizard receives a warning from the referee for stalling.

Shankara has Wizard pressed against the cage.
Shankara gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Shankara lands with a short head shot on the inside.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wizard throws a leg kick but Shankara checks it.
Shankara throws a low kick but Wizard avoids it.
Shankara misses with an attempted mid kick.
The fighters circle momentarily. Shankara darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Shankara takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Shankara slips under a jab from Wizard.
Naja Shankara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Shankara throws a head kick that misses.

Shankara works Wizard's body with a nice hook.
Wizard with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Shankara to score with a decent uppercut.
A chopping leg kick lands by Shankara.
Shankara connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Shankara scoring well with a low kick there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Shankara tries to clinch but Wizard moves out of range.
Wizard missing with a left hand there. Shankara was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Shankara lands a big head kick that sends Wizard tumbling to the mat! Shankara takes a step backwards and waves Wizard back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Wizard is still on wobbly legs! Can Shankara finish him?
Shankara is looking to clinch.

Wizard slips under a jab.
Wizard seems to have recovered his senses.

Shankara cracks Wizard with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Wizard looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Shankara finish him?
Wizard walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Shankara is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Wizard can do to turn this around?
Wizard walks straight into a right hand from Shankara - that's dropped him! Shankara jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Wizard from any more punishment! Wizard complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
