Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bear Grill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Finney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peter Finney will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Finney clinches up against the cage.
Finney is pressed up against the cage. Grill has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Finney down to the mat. Finney avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Grill tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Finney swivels and escapes.
No luck for Grill with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bear Grill. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Finney throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A combination from Finney does no damage.
Finney stuffs the takedown.
Finney wants to clinch.
Finney throws a nice looking combination but Grill bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Grill shoots in for a takedown but Finney shows good takedown defense.
Finney throws a series of punches but Grill moves out of range.

Finney clinches up with Grill and pushes him back against the cage.

Finney misses with a few strikes there.

Peter Finney seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Grill counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Grill.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Grill wants to pass the guard but Finney is keeping the position.

Finney wants to get back to his feet but Grill is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Grill drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Grill jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Grill is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Grill closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Grill is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Finney has escaped the position, nice work there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Grill has hold of Finney's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Finney seems comfortable defending it but Grill has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Finney is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Finney is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Grill couldn't care less - he's delighted!
