The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruska cracks Whatley with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Whatley takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Ruska throws an overhand right that lands on Whatley's shoulder, as Whatley tries to avoid the shot.

and Ruska counters with a stiff right hand.

Ruska connects with a good right hand that stumbles Whatley. Whatley circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

and Ruska counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Whatley bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Whatley seems to have recovered his senses.
Ruska uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Whatley has time to react.
Ruska pounces like a tiger and cracks Whatley with a vicious hook! Whatley is down but not out! Ruska follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
