Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bendekar Ebonhand!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jiu Jiet Siet!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Ivan Kurochkin and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Siet wants to clinch.
Ebonhand swats away the attempt to clinch by Siet.
Ebonhand shoots in but Siet avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Siet fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ebonhand, pushing him back against the cage.
Knees in the clinch landing for Siet.
Ebonhand jumps guard but Siet stands there with Ebonhand around his waist. Ebonhand gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Siet tries to land knees in the clinch but Ebonhand avoids the damage to the body.

Siet manages to pull guard.
Ebonhand stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Siet swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Siet tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Siet throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Siet keeping moving, preventing Ebonhand from controlling successfully.
Siet looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Siet pulls Ebonhand in close to prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ebonhand trying to control the position from guard on top but Siet is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Ebonhand looks for a takedown but Siet sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bendekar Ebonhand. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Siet fails in his attempt to clinch.

Siet feints and as Ebonhand raises his hands in defense, Siet changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Siet seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Siet slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Siet controlling the position.
Let's hope that Siet has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jiu Jiet Siet dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Siet has closed the distance and engaged Ebonhand in a clinch.
Ebonhand tries to pull guard but Siet holds him up against the cage and eventually Ebonhand drops back down to his feet.
Ebonhand takes an elbow to the forehead.
Siet avoiding damage.
Siet tries to pull guard but Ebonhand holds him up against the cage and eventually Siet drops back down to his feet.
Siet gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Ebonhand really is a fat lump.
Siet with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Siet breaks the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Some wild striking there from Siet.
Siet tries to clinch up but Ebonhand circles away and keeps his distance.

Siet clinches with his opponent.
Ebonhand tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Siet tries to pull guard but Ebonhand holds him up against the cage and eventually Siet drops back down to his feet.

Ebonhand trying to control the position from guard on top but Siet is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Siet lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Ebonhand!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ebonhand is trying to escape the mount.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Siet looking to control and managing it successfully.
Ebonhand is working to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Siet controlling from mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Ebonhand tries to hold on but Siet pushes him away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Siet content just to control the position here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jiu Jiet Siet showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Siet tries for a takedown but Ebonhand circles away easily

and Ebonhand decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Siet's guard.
Siet trying to keep a closed guard but Ebonhand is proving a slippery customer.
Ebonhand trying to control the position from guard on top but Siet is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ebonhand is really struggling to control Siet but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Siet keeping moving, preventing Ebonhand from controlling successfully.
Siet looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Siet being controlled here, momentarily.
Ebonhand trying to control but Siet is working from the bottom.
Siet trying to keep a closed guard but Ebonhand is proving a slippery customer.

Siet is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jiu Jiet Siet just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Good leg kick by Siet there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Ebonhand misses with a takedown
and Siet counters with a stiff right hand.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Siet looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Ebonhand drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Siet is trying to control Ebonhand's posture but Ebonhand avoids it.
Bendekar Ebonhand has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

And that's the end of the fight!
Bendekar Ebonhand showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Siet has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
