Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wasilcov fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Shaw closes the distance looking to clinch

and Wasilcov counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Wasilcov performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Shaw wants to improve his position but Wasilcov is controlling well.
Shaw is looking to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wasilcov wants to pass to mount but Shaw is defending the position.

Bogdan Wasilcov has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Shaw keeps Wasilcov at a distance using the push kick.
Wasilcov throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shaw.

Wasilcov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Shaw avoids it really well and circles away.
Shaw connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Wasilcov takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Wasilcov swats away the attempt to clinch by Shaw.

Bogdan Wasilcov has got the better of the ground game so far.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Shaw is trying to control but can't.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Wasilcov has Shaw up against the cage in a clinch.
Wasilcov is pressed up against the cage. Shaw has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Wasilcov down to the mat. Wasilcov avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Horrible takedown by Wasilcov or perhaps it was just good defense by Shaw which made him look bad.

Shaw throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Shaw pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Shaw gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Wasilcov to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Wasilcov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Bogdan Wasilcov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Shaw's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Wasilcov shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Shaw is trying to defend but Wasilcov finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Let's hope that Wasilcov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Wasilcov manages to capitalize on a mistake by Shaw to take his back!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Wasilcov slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Shaw is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Wasilcov.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Wasilcov shoots in for a double leg but Shaw sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Bogdan Wasilcov is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
