Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hiro Hiate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Burnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nick Burnett!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hiate misses with a wild combination.
Hiate throws a right and a left that both miss.
Burnett throws a leg kick that misses.
Hiate lands a two punch combo.
Burnett lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hiate's sensitive parts.
Hiate displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Burnett.
Horrible takedown by Burnett or perhaps it was just good defense by Hiate which made him look bad.
Hiate throws a sloppy head kick and Burnett moves out of range easily.
Hiate throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hiate defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Burnett.
Hiro Hiate has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Burnett.
Burnett darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Burnett connects with a nice short shot to Hiate's temple.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Burnett creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Burnett is staying tight to Hiate's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Burnett lands a nice forearm strike.
Burnett works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Hiate is rocked!
Hiate knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Burnett on the ground.
Hiate on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Oh Hiate is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Burnett in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Hiate looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Burnett turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
