PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Mulligan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marc Dressler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dressler has chosen Raptile - Fight Back as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Marc Dressler acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dressler scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dressler connects with a nice short shot to Mulligan's temple.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Dressler working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Dressler lands a big shot there that rocks Mulligan but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Dressler has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Mulligan's face.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Marc Dressler dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Dressler closes the distance and clinches up with Mulligan, looking for a takedown. Dressler pushes Mulligan against the cage but Mulligan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dressler takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Dressler is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mulligan defends it well.
