Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Summer Wheatly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bones Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Gimme back my bullets kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Summer Wheatly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bones Jones!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wheatly sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jones somewhat.
Wheatly misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Wheatly moves in looking to clinch but Jones pushes him off.
Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Jones closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wheatly circles away.
Summer Wheatly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bones Jones.
Jones is trying hard to land a takedown here. Wheatly sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Jones looks to score with a jab to the body but Wheatly is just out of range.
Jones tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Wheatly swivels and escapes.
Wheatly feints and then cracks Jones's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jones down.

Jones lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Jones throws a sloppy head kick and Wheatly moves out of range easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jones.
Wheatly leaves Jones with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Wheatly tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Jones manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wheatly swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wheatly swivels though and keeps the full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones stands and throws Wheatly's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Jones cracks Wheatly with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Wheatly is trying to improve his position.
Wheatly is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Wheatly might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jones throws a strike aimed at the side of Wheatly's head but Wheatly avoids it well.
Wheatly regains half guard, as Jones was trying to land strikes.
Wheatly won't allow Jones to pass to mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jones is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Wheatly sees it coming and defends easily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jones missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wheatly keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jones throws a half hearted mid kick.
Jones dives in and grabs Wheatly's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wheatly pushes down on Jones's head and hops out.
Jones shoots for a double leg takedown but Wheatly sprawls well. He's pushed Jones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Summer Wheatly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bones Jones.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jones. Wheatly does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jones shoots in and drives through. Wheatly sprawls well.
Jones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wheatly was well out of range. Poor timing from Jones.

Jones changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wheatly looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Jones tries to score with some ground and pound. Wheatly controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Jones is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Wheatly is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Jones goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Wheatly rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Jones's guard! Nice work there by Wheatly!

Wheatly stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wheatly wants it to stay on the feet.
Jones swats away the attempt to clinch by Wheatly.

Jones turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Jones manages to end up in side control.

Jones swings around for an armbar but Wheatly sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Jones's guard.

Jones throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Wheatly pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wheatly sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Wheatly takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

That has opened up Bones Jones's cut even more.
