Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reggy Boomstick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reggy Boomstick will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Kavanagh and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Boomstick shoots in looking for a takedown. Black tries to sprawl out of it but Boomstick keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Black manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Black lands a jab to the nose.
Black connects with an inside leg kick.
Boomstick misses with a takedown
and Black counters with a left and a right that stings Boomstick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

John Black has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Reggy Boomstick.

Oooooh!!! Black has knocked Boomstick down with a huge combo! Black steps away and waves a wobbly Boomstick back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Black drives through and clinches with Boomstick against the cage.

Boomstick takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Reggy Boomstick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Black moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
The crowd cheers as Black lands an impressive looking overhand right. Boomstick doesn't seem phased though.

Boomstick gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Black counters with a one-two to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Black connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
John Black is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Black keeps Boomstick at a distance using the push kick.
Black lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Black moves into the clinch successfully.
Boomstick's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Black escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Boomstick shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Black counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Black dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Boomstick. That did some damage!
Black connects with a solid leg kick.
Boomstick gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Black dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Boomstick on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A nice glancing elbow lands by Black.

Black's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Black feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Boomsticks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Black lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Boomstick is still on wobbly legs! Can Black finish him?
Black connects with a leg kick. Boomstick looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Black drops Boomstick with a straight right hand, right on the button! Black follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
