The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bombada stuffs the takedown.

Nestle scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Nestle is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bombada has managed to free his arm - good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nestle tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bombada knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Nestle is looking for a kimura but Bombada is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Nestle to get the leverage.

Nestle postures up in Bombada's guard and throws a big left but Bombada blocks it.
Nestle throws a big right hand that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nestle trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bombada pulls Nestle in close to prevent any damage.
Bombada controls Nestle momentarily but Nestle frees himself.
Bombada is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Nestle wants to control but Bombada is keeping busy.

Nestle is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bombada pulls his head out easily.
Nestle makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Nestle.

Bombada wants to control from the top but Nestle keeps moving.
Nestle is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Bombada got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nestle has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bombada has managed to get both his arms back between Nestle's legs - danger averted.

Nestle is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Nestle has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bombada can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bombada is in close to Nestle's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Bombada sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Nestle's guard.

Nestle is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bombada pulls his head out easily.

Bombada seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Bombada working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Bombada is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Nestle looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Nestle has one foot on Bombada's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nestle fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Nestle closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Nestle lands in his opponent's guard.
Nestle is breathing heavily.
Bombada is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nestle postures up.
Nestle wants to pass the guard but Bombada is keeping the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Bombada displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nestle.
Nestle swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nestle tries to clinch but Bombada moves out of range.

and Bombada counters with a single leg into guard. Nestle didn't expect that.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bombada lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Oh Nestle is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bombada is working Nestle over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Bombada gets to his feet and stands over Nestle, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Nestle felt that one! Bombada unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Nestle from any more punishment!
