The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nieborg shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Perez as he jumps to the side.
Perez misses with a few strikes there.
Perez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nieborg moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Perez throws a nice head kick!
Nieborg misses the shot to the body.
Perez throws a right hand that Nieborg ducks under and follows up with a left that Nieborg also avoids with ease.
Perez scores with a head kick. Nieborg tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Perez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nieborg shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Perez napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Nieborg changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Perez tries to avoid it but Nieborg manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Perez to the ground. Perez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sky Perez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Perez leaves Nieborg with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Nieborg closes the distance and clinches up with Perez, looking for a takedown. Nieborg pushes Perez against the cage but Perez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Nieborg manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Perez on his heels. He'll look to pass Perez's guard now, I'm sure.

Perez wants to get back to his feet but Nieborg is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Nieborg drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Perez manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Nieborg has Perez in his guard.

Perez's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Emile Nieborg.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nieborg, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
